ALINA, a Proprietary concern was founded in 1991 by Mr. Habib M A Hussain, a professional with more than 42 years’ experience in related fields. It was converted into a Limited Liability Company in January 2008 with Mr Hussain as its Chairman and Managing Director.
ALINA PVT LTD has a professional management infrastructure with qualified and experienced Leather Technologists and Managers running its three Leather Goods factories, two Footwear factories and four Leather Finishing factories. The company has also set up a design center where design and development of new leather and silhouettes is undertaken round the year.
The company employs approximately 2200 workmen in these facilities producing approximately 20 million square feet of Leather in different meterials-Cow hides, Sheep skins, Goat and Buffalo. The raw material for Cowhide is either from India or Europe while the Sheepskin is from India, New Zealand and Middle East.
The Leather Goods manufactured are for Tommy Hilfiger, Guess, Fossil, Ripcurl & Next to name a few. All our Products are mainly sold to United Kingdom, New Zealand, Australia, France, USA, Canada and Latin American Countries.
The Footwear is primarily made for Geox and is exported to Italy, USA and Hong Kong. Japan, China, are the new customers during this season.
In all these facilities its annual sales amount to 27.00 million US Dollars of which exports are approximately 80 percent. In terms of capacities, the company produces over 20 million square feet of Leather, 10, 00,000. Pairs of Shoes and about 2.5 million pieces of Leather Goods each year. The company has been recognized as a Three Star Export House by the Ministry of Commerce, Government of India.
The Leather Goods division has been certified under ISO 9001:2008. The tannery also certified ISO 14001:2015 & ISO 45001:2018 and has a Gold Certificate from Leather Working Group, U.K. We also have membership with SATRA for the quality, safety and performance of products and services.
The company has been recognized as AEO T2 issued by Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs, Ministry of Finance, Govt of India.
The company also awarded 1st Place in Leather Goods & Footwear for 2017-2018 also awarded IInd place in Leather Footwear for 2018-2019 & 2020-2021 by Council for Leather Exports.
